MalMac 1,332 #1 Posted September 6, 2013 What should the Ark 550 with a Cessna pump have for hydraulic pressure. Also where do you measure pressure at. At the pump? Or somewhere else in the system? Hydro guru I am not.
boovuc 1,090 #2 Posted September 7, 2013 I have not measured mine MalMac but the original Cessna Hydro pump was rated at 1000 PSI maximum. IMHO, the best place to check the pressure is on the pressure side of the pump between the pump outlet and the operation valve.
MalMac 1,332 #3 Posted September 7, 2013 boovuc, measuring it there would give you a true pump pressure. I suppose measuring it after the relief valve would give you the operating pressure. Was kinda curious what the advertised factory set pressure are. I think mine might be set a little high.
tractorbeast 27 #4 Posted November 2, 2013 I dont have a loader on my Wheel Horse but I do on my Power King. The pressure relief dumps at 1200 PSI. I would think that is a high MAX for a smaller WH.. An In-line pressure guage is very helpful, at $17.00 plus shiphing, I installed one on my system.
