Anyone interested in a junk yard GT-14 ????

A local junk yard in Southeastern PA has a GT-14 parts tractor.   Many parts missing (including the engine), but it what's there is in decent shape and could be restored with some work.  The PO brought it in without the engine, so I suspect the trans could be bad, and he saved the engine.   Grill and hood are straight.  Rear fender replaced with a smaller one .   Rear axle seals don't appear to be leaking.   LF wheel off and bearings laying on ground;  C-clip missing.  Rear tires have some cracking in the tread, but are holding air.  Steering linkage ok.

 

They're asking $100 because they know WH is collectible, but they'd probably negotiate.   They'll load it on a trailer with a fork lift.   I'm tempted to buy it myself, but I already have seven WH projects waiting, and no room in my barn.

 

Send me a personal message, and I'll give you info and location.  I just hate to see it go to the crusher, which will probably happen within the next week.

I someone doesn't contact me soon, I guess I'll have to go buy it.  Storing it outside my barn is at least better than having it go to the crusher.   I have a Briggs 15hp looking for a tractor, and I figure a set of Economy Power King fenders on it would make it look like a 701 on steroids.

Shoot for $300 ya can have a whole GT14 that runs and has a deck . I listed one in classifieds

If you where close by I would be real interested in the gt14 I could use a better hood and grill mine is all dented up.

Cool thanks let me think about it I'm not sure what path I'm going to yet with this gt14. I'll let you know

Hope you are able to get a good deal on it and save it.Hate to see another one go to scrap.
