953 nut 52,311 #3 Posted August 31, 2013 If you are asking what a hydraulic loader requires I would say hydraulic fluid. NAPA or mTractor Supply can fill your needs.
Shuboxlover 474 #4 Posted August 31, 2013 Yes, That Is What I'm Asking......For Some Reason, I Thought It Was 10.30...But Maybe Not
953 nut 52,311 #5 Posted August 31, 2013 Probably 10-30 would be best since it gets rather cold in Nebraska winters and hot in the summers.
MalMac 1,328 #6 Posted August 31, 2013 If it's an Ark it takes 10-30 or 10-40 motor oil.
Alan_Heist 7 #7 Posted August 31, 2013 I was going to say the same, but it probably depends on who made it. Some take motor oil, some hydraulic fluid, and some, Auto-trans fluid.
Shuboxlover 474 #8 Posted August 31, 2013 It's An Ark Loader....ThanksGuys It's An Ark Loader....ThanksGuys
Patrick Reese 40 #9 Posted September 1, 2013 Not sure of your Ark, but a few of the loaders I used with my Farmall's took straight 30 non detergent motor oil. As I recall the non detergent type is really important. I think regular 10-40 motor oil would foam up and not work properly. Manny, Moe and Jack is where I used to get my straight 30 non detergent. boovuc 1,090 #10 Posted September 2, 2013 The ARK loaders take 10w 30 per the manufacturer's manuals. (As mentioned above). Now you do need to know what was in it before you dump 10w30 in the reservoir. ARK's will run hydraulic fluid and you do NOT want to mix the two. There is a lot of fluid left in the lines after draining the reservoir. So my advise is to pull a hose if you were not the person that drained the loader and look at what comes out. Very good chance it is 10w 30 but it is best to make sure.
Shuboxlover 474 #11 Posted September 2, 2013 I broke my hose coming out of the pump....pretty sure it drained 95% of it, but I'm also pretty sure it was 10.30 in it. Thanks guys!!!!
