Kelly 1,033 #1 Posted August 25, 2013 A week and half ago I bought a 520HC a guy called me about wanting to sell, so I picked that one up, did a few things to it and it sold pretty quick, infact I had a buyer before I picked it up. Well the other day a local dealer got with me they are cleaning house and wanting some old stock gone, still dealing on that as they get stuff rounded up, but I did pick up a big stack of NOS hub caps from them, then the guy said I better check out their junk pile out back as a scrap dealer was coming to haul off a lot of stuff, mostly farm equip. but a few mowers as he called them, well in the junk was a 520HC with 60" deck, unsure of it's issues I made a offer that was quickly excepted, so I loaded it up with some other parts pulled off the other junk mostly MTD style stuff. That was fri after work, I didn't have time to mess with it as we had to load the truck to move my Daughter into collage today, after we got home today, I messed with it thinking it was a bad Onan, after finding a bad ign. switch and a blown fuse it fired right up, and runs great, with 870 hours on it, so I went to try the trans out and it would hardly move but the belt squealed bad, so I pulled the guard to find a very junk belt, and a missing tension spring, so off to the parts pile and put some good used parts on, now the trans works very well, the machine has lots of new parts on it, like all the PTO disk, bell, bearings, deck drive belt, a few new parts on the deck as well, the deck has 2 pretty good rust holes in it but runs out very nice and quiet, I've never owned a HC till these two and to score 2 in as many weeks, I figured this one would be a parts tractor but now I'm not so sure. little ruff but the price was right 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

You have SEVEN right now! Kelly 1,033 #12 Posted August 25, 2013 The deck has 2 holes about 2"x 6" BUT it is mows great, very quiet, smooth, I pulled it off and the spindles feel like new, tight but can spin them with one finger, looks to have both belts new, idler pulley new, infact the pulleys on the spindles look newer, blades are in very nice shape, new front roller and pin on it, has the belt covers except for the two holes it's a nice deck.
