Teddy da Bear 11 #1 Posted August 24, 2008 After my brother in law's kids had their way with it......sigh.... I have 90% of a 656. Give or take 10%. I will not try to restore this one. I will lovingly dismantle it and be parting it out to those that would like to add the parts to their project. This is unfortunately what happens when one person doe not know the meaning of "wheel horse". Everything is very straight. Deck seems complete except grease caps. Came with a mid 60's plow. I will have to think about whether to part with that or not. Engine is almost complete....just not much good without the head. I will also put up a picture tomarow....when it is light. Docwheelhorse 2,740 #2 Posted August 24, 2008 List it on Ebay and see if it can be "saved".... Any 'Horse being lead to the slaughterhouse makes me cry.... even if it is a "friendly" slaughter to save others.... It sounds like it may be still on the right side of that magic "too far gone to save" line... I can hear it from here Tony
Teddy da Bear 11 #3 Posted August 24, 2008 Doc.....in a sense I did save it. They were going to send it to the scrap man. Never to be seen again. I just do not have the time to do it justice. But if you make me think about it too much I may take it off the selling block...lol

Docwheelhorse 2,740 #13 Posted August 26, 2008 That poor thing looks like it jumped on top of the grenade to save all of his buddies... I guess I'll retract my "save it" statement.... Tony
Teddy da Bear 11 #14 Posted August 30, 2008 I was looking at the underside of the deck from the 656. I guess the brother in law does not believe in spending money for blades. I also found remnents of a garbage bag and some twine rapped around these blades and spindles. Notice that my index finger is the same size as the remaining width of the blade......
