lawn ranger of some vintage

I came across this little gem yesterday. The PO was planning to take it to the scrap yard. He had rebuilt the transmission then his son lost interest. No model # but the serial number is pictured below. Any ideas?

Probably '63, 62 had solid front tires, 64 had a different hoodstand.

 

33E was electric start, 33R was recoil only.

I agree with Mike.    Hard front wheels would make it a 62 and battery bos makes it look like an electric start model!   Just saw one earlier in the week that sold for $50.

OK. I was kinda thinking 63. Now what do I do with it? Not too keen on fixing it. Just didn't want to see it go to scrap.

What's one of these worth?

I almost bought that same lawn ranger but found a 857 that i had to have i called the guy and everything what a small world i love the lawn ranger i have all ready I'm sure if you get it going you will enjoy it.

Craig, I do have a 13hp harbor freight engine, but I think that's a bit much.

TT posted some measurements and pictures of one a while ago, it was a piece of bar with a sleeve that slips over the stub on the frame and clamps with a lock screw.  I've been meaning to make one for about 5 years now. 

 

I'll post the link when I find it.
