How to set float level on aftermarket Tecumseh carbs?

Bought the above from ebay and the general consensus is that they are good.  However I tore it apart to see if I could lower the float level, and there is absolutly no provisions to do so.  Anyone have any ideas?  It also appears the parts differ very slightly in which a genuine tecumseh kit will not work.  What I have noticed is that there is no tab to bend on the float, and the needle is not adjustable either.

When the engine is tipped ver slightly, the carb will overflow.  The old one did not do this, it just didn;t idle.

What was the name on the box?  I would start with the ebay seller.  Sounds like a defective float to me.  The aftermarket one that I purchased 6 months ago is a dead on copy everything is compatible with the standard rebuild kit.  I have seen non adjustable floats before but they all seemed to be set just fine.

The only way to adjust it would be to add more material to the tab on the float.  Maybe you could put a dab of epoxy on it and file it down to fit?
