Countywidetruck 0 #1 Posted August 22, 2013 I have a early 2000 model 314. When I leave it sit for weeks, it starts right up. Now when I run it for any period of time and then shut it off, it won't start. It turns over and has fuel, but won't fire. I already checked the plug and fuel and they are good. What else should I be looking for?
BOWTIE 226 #2 Posted August 22, 2013 DO YOU HAVE FUEL AT THE SPARK PLUG. THE 1999 AND NEWER KOHLERS HAVE A ELECTRIC SHUT OFF VALVE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE FLOAT BOWL. IT SHUTS OFF THE FUEL TO CARB INTAKE PORT. IT SHOULD CLICK OR YOU CAN FEEL IT MOVE INSIDE THE HOUSING. THE WIRE SHOULD HAVE 12 VOLTS WHEN KEY IS ON. DO YOU HAVE SPARK AT PLUG. IF NOT IT COULD BE IGBITION MODULE. GOOD LUCK BOWTIE
