RBJ 0 #1 Posted August 20, 2013 Hello All, I became the owner of a 1992 Wheel Horse 244-H Lawn Tractor recently. Runs great and seems fairly sturdy. I have one complaint though that I am looking for a little help on. The tractor has the 42" mower deck on it (Model 05-42SS02). When mowing over ground that is uneven and not packed hard, the anti-scalp rollers dig in to the mound rather than rolling over the mound. I keep bending the mower deck where the roller brackets are welded. I replaced the rollers but the problem remains. Can't figure what I'm doing wrong. Is the front of the mower deck supposed to rest on the rollers? I read the manual for it and am not sure. It does say something about resting on the gage wheels when cutting between 3/4 - 3". Any help somebody could provide sure would be appreciated. Regards, Ritchie Johnston
