Hodge71 665 #2 Posted August 16, 2013 Pictures tell the story...after that we will need to get a bit more specific but you can tell a lot bout a horse from a good picture. If you cant figure out how to upload a picture head down to the picture gallery and go through the years from 1973 to 1997 and pick a 16 horsepower tractor that looks like what you have and tell us which one it is.. We can get started from that point with telling you where to find your tractors birth certificate (ID plate) . Welcome to the sickness and ......

546cowboy 302 #6 Posted August 16, 2013 (edited) Get the free VSO Image re-sizer and you can make those pictures smaller in size. I know you can upload them at 1000 pixels wide and 750 pixels tall. If it is a 16 hp. Kohler it will most likely be a C-160 if it is an Onan it will most likely be a 416. Look on the left side of the dash tower just below the dash. You will find a plate with the model number and the serial number. Edited August 16, 2013 by 546cowboy
AMC RULES 37,196 #7 Posted August 16, 2013 ...or go into the store (header at the top of this page)...try the 6 month supporter pkg for $12.00. You can then upload picts into your posts, directly from your computer with none of those resizing hassles. This feature alone is well worth the nominal fee if you plan on taking good care of the new you just picked up. Pictures do speak a thousand words.

gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,495 #11 Posted August 16, 2013 We do not have the 1976 manual but do have the 1977 manual with the exact same engine so the wiring should be the same. The transmissions have their own manual and the engines are supported by Kohler. 1977 operator manual Parts list is here https://lookup3.toro.com/partdex/index.cfm?xCaller=Toro Just enter your 61-16KS01 model number. After a page opens you can click on a small printer icon at the top left of the illustration. These parts lists are shared by similar models so an item may have 3 different part numbers but Toro fails to tell us what model uses what. Sites like this one do a better job but have never seen a good way to print the pages. http://www.partstree.com/parts/ Type Toro in the 2nd box and the 61-16KS01 in the 3rd box. The parts that are priced should be available from any Toro dealer. Sundstrand transmission manual Hydraulic manual Hydraulic lift manual Dinner bell ran - gota go. More later. Tankman 3,523 #15 Posted August 17, 2013 "I think the troy bilt is going on craigslist." Good idea. I think we've all been there. Then WHA (Wheel Horse Addiction) took our lives over. An early symptom. Have you looked at Craigslist for other Stallions yet?
