Breakerless to broke.... Question.

As I am getting ready to restore the 69' Electro 12 it has the breakerless ign. currently, now is it possible to convert to  points if needed???

If so what will I need. and is it all just bolt on stuff.??

First you have to see if the block is drilled for the plunger to run the points, if yes you will need a bunch of parts, I'm probably going to miss something but you get the idea,

Ign. switch

wiring

engine bearing plate

stator and correct reg

flywheel to match above

points

point cover

coil and coil wire

 

If the charging system is working now you can get by with just doing the points swap and batt style coil, and rewire the ign, and switch the ign. switch to the batt style

Thanks for the info ...I am just trying to get an idea of what I may have to do in the worst case scenerio. I can tell you having to wait a till next month to get the tractor down here from NY is killing me!!..  Sleepness nights with all the dreams of grandure that are going on about once I get it here. Eat ,Sleep, Work wheel horse is all that is going right now...At least I have the mower deck to tinker with right now...
