C101

Chatty

Hi, can you give me some advice, I am restoring a Wheelhorse c101 and I am trying to register it to use on the road sometimes.

I am applying for a logbook and the vin plates say 301501 and serial number 1615006632 but the lubricant plate says serial number 9714.

I think it is a 1979.

The DVLA says I have to in form the customs to tell them it is in the country.

Can you helpme with any help on age or what the number mean.

Cheers.

I know y'all do things a bit differently 'over there'... but I'm confused... why would one want to use a garden tractor on the road?  How far can you go at 6 MPH?

I drive mine on the road all the time without registration or plates, not more than 1000' or so, but still... coppers blow right by me and don't even look.

Someone will surely be along to help answer your questions, sorry, I can't.

Jeff, I think they need to do that to be able to cross the road over there...was a couple of threads on this about a year ago.

Chatty, we have a number of members on Red Square that are over where you are...I am sure they will join in when they see this.  The model numbers are sometimes different between England and the States.

By the way...Welcome to Red Square. :)
