47JDG 65 #1 Posted August 11, 2013 I have a chance to pick up a pretty nice C-105. I have not looked it over closely yet, but I have dealt with the seller before so I know its what he claims it is as far as condition goes. It has the plastic rear fender which I don't care for at all. I have never looked at a black hood up close but I see in pictures that some have a metal rear fender from what looks like a 400 or 500 series tractor. Is that all that they are, and are they just a direct bolt up swap? Did they come both ways, or are the metal rear fenders conversions that people have done? I definitely like the look of the metal more than the plastic. Thanks!
Sparky-(Admin) 23,170 #2 Posted August 11, 2013 The factory swapped over to metal fenders in 84 (the last year for the Black Hoods) . You can just unbolt the plastic fender and bolt on a 300-400 series fender. Mike........

47JDG 65 #5 Posted August 12, 2013 I guess I don't follow you Tankman. What does that mean?
dbartlett1958 99 #6 Posted August 12, 2013 I guess I don't follow you Tankman. What does that mean? I think what he is saying is that the plastic fenders belong on inferior big box type tractors, not Wheel Horse's.
