wytco0 0 #1 Posted August 11, 2013 (edited) Hi I have a Euro 227-5 which I use for mowing rough grass. I bought it a couple of years ago on ebay and its been great. I am based in Norfolk in the UK. I have a couple of problems at the moment and hoping you can help Problem 1 The Throttle cable has broken, more specifically where the cable joins the throttle control behind the dash, the cable covering had rotted and then rusted itself to the throttle mechanism and then broken off, I only discovered this when it stuck wide open. I have managed with a bit of force to remove the rusted on cable end and I think I can reuse the mechanism, however I cant find the cable part number, any ideas? I can find the part for the throttle mechanism (115789 which replaced 110684) but I cant find the cable itself. Problem 2 I have a rear discharge mower deck but I am not sure of the model and I cant find anything about what decks are can be used with the 227-5. The deck drive belts need replacing, any ideas what belts I need? Can I get some off the shelf belts or is there anything special about the Toro ones? Thanks Edited August 11, 2013 by wytco0
wytco0 0 #2 Posted August 11, 2013 OK I have done some more searching and thanks to member "wheeledhorseman" It looks as though my deck is either a E5-42XR01. 42" or E5-36XR01 36" rear discharge deck. Using those part numbers I have found the belts ( 106751 & 106533) for 36 Inch or (106516 & 110141) for 42 Inch. However so far I have not been able to find the specs of those belts to see if I can get an equivalent (kevlar) belt part locally.
