Pullstart 67,031 #1 Posted August 10, 2013 I pulled apart my K141 to investigate the play on the ignition side of the crank, to find a brass bushing instead of a roller bearing. There are two roller bearings on the PTO side of the crank. In the Engine PDF manual it shows 1 roller bearing on each side of the crank. I imagine with all the models of this engine produced, anything is possible. Does anyone know of the part number or source of the bushing I need to tighten up the play? Thanks! gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,513 #4 Posted August 19, 2013 Looked for spec # 29103 (the 0 on the end may be a letter) Found it uses 1 of 23165 bearing (some use two) and the bearing plate is A-231660. Must have been part of the plate as no separate insert is shown. Found it in Kohler parts list TP-1052-A. Garry
Pullstart 67,031 #5 Posted August 19, 2013 Thanks again Garry, I think I might look into the possibility of upgrading to a roller bearing style bearing plate. Not like I can complain about the lifespan of the original, but I would have more trust in a true bearing than a bushing.
