Jeff-C175 7,206 #2 Posted August 6, 2013 Are you asking if anyone has an 857 wiring diagram? Have you checked in the "Manuals" section yet?

green horn 1 #7 Posted August 7, 2013 Well have it all wired but now I'm not getting any spark. Both poles on the coil are hot when the key is turned on but no spark. I'm thinking its the coil. Tried a new plug and coil wire and still nothing. Any ideas and or does anyone have a part number for a new coil?
Jeff-C175 7,206 #8 Posted August 7, 2013 One side of the coil is always hot, the other side will only be hot when the points are OPEN. So, pull the plug so you can turn the engine by hand, put your meter on the POINTS side of the coil and rotate the engine. As you rotate the engine you should be able to see the points side go from 12V to 0V to 12V , etc... If not, something is wrong with the points.
green horn 1 #9 Posted August 8, 2013 Ok back working on the wiring again tonight. I love wiring things (use to work on Thermo King units) and this one is stumping me. Points open or closed both sides of the coil are still hot. Even got a new coil and the same thing. What am I missing that's right in front of my eyes?
