D200 Rear PTO pulley alignment

Recommended Posts

Marv

I installed a rear pto on my D200. It is installed in accordance with the installation instructions. For some reason the pulley does not line up properly with the engine pulley. The pto pulley sits forward so that the groove alignment causes the belt to be misaligned toward the engine at the top (engine Pulley). It is not severe, just not true.

Have you run into this before?

There is a snap ring inside the PTO to keep it from sliding in towards the engine to far.....Wheeledhorseman has mentioned it in a couple posts....Mine is off a little also but the snap ring is present....I don't have my PTO hooked up because I have no attachments so I don't know if it will line up with a belt on or not...

Bob,

I checked that to make sure it was still there in place. I had the PTO apart to replace a bearing in it and was pretty sure I put it back together correctly. But I checked it anyway.  The alignment is not real bad so I will run it and see how it works.
