prondzy 3,888 #1 Posted July 31, 2013 I recently acquired a 953 the manual states a 9.6 hp Kohler but mine is a k241 isn't this a 10 HP? I guess my question is was this a HP under rating by WH? groundhog47 347 #2 Posted July 31, 2013 The Kohler for the 953 is listed as you said: 9.6, K241 with a diff spec number than the 10, K241. Either they changed a part or upgraded hp. Might be just the jets in carb. There is a manual in manuals, engines that covers parts by spec number on the K-241 that you may wish to peruse through for the variant, man do they show some variants!
