Wheel Horse 308-8 HELP

Recommended Posts

Charlie Smith

Hey you guys!

There's a Man a few doors down from me selling a 308-8 for £400? I'm not too sure I want to buy this as its a reasonably newer model and I like the oldies! But has anyone had/got one? What are they like any good? And is that reasonable price, it's all running, got the deck, etc,

-Charlie.

Which motor? They came with K-181's and Magnum M-8's. Either way they are a nice economical machine if your not into dumping tons of fuel in a tractor. Only really good for 36" or 37" mowing decks although some guys run 42" decks on them. I personally think your overworking the motor with a 42' deck and will just wear out the motor sooner.

They have the sealed beam headlites which are fantastic if you do any chores (or just go cruising) at night.  They beat the old style headlites ten-fold.

I think its worth checking out myself.

Morning Charlie, I've never owned a 308-8 but I do have a 312-8 which is a great little tractor. Strong and always willing to work.

Don't dismiss a the 308-8 because it's a bit newer, they are great workers..

I will never sell my 312-8, love it too much :)

It's got a M-8 engine in Mike, and believe to be a 36" cutter, thank you for your help,

Morning Ian, :) I've seen your 312-8 hard at work on youtube etc they are great little machines, when the owner gets back from holiday (lucky sod) I'm going to have a good look and a test drive, and..... a good talk to him, might even get a good deal, :)
