Cowboy- I have the newer style with the rollers on my 88 520HC and it does not mow as nice as this one. I hear ya on digging in but just need to be careful.

I've got a 1992 year model 520H and I really like this tractor.  Swept forward axle, tight turning radius, 1 inch front spindles, the Onan sounds GREAT, high back seat with arm rests, steering reduction, hydro lift, Eaton 11 tranny and Matt's foot control kit.  It is such a comfortable tractor to use and especially mow with.  Mine has about 400 hrs, so you can tell that after 21 years, I'm wearing it out - LOL.  With the foot control kit, it is just as modern tractor as any JD or Simplicity coming off the line.

Speaking of Simplicity's, I've also got a few IH Cub Cadets.  These 520H tractors with the above options are so nice, I consider them excellent canidates for a Honda engine swap - should it ever become necessary.  I've thought about finding a few more runners to add to the fleet and riding myself of the other brands of old iron tractors and putting all my efforts and tractor $$$'s into these models.

One thing I don't have is a 60 inch deck, but I'd like to try one.

BTW - as much as I like the 520H, my favorite is still my 314-8 as it was the first Wheelhorse in my fleet, bought it new and had never let me down!

Enjoy your tractor - you got a great one!!!!!!!!!

Here's the video. I wouldn't sell this to the neighbor. It's too nice a tractor. Let him find his own!
