Hodge71 665 #2 Posted July 25, 2013 (edited) Strong enough til it breaks. Thats a real tough question without specifics.....I mean it will work for years and years under normal loads without an issue if cared for properly. What do you plan on doing with this tractor? 15 horsepower sure probably for some time without issue...... 20hp...maybe depending on how much you're abusing it...... 45hp full modified puller....not for long I bet. I have used these tractors to do some crazy things in my days owning them. My Dads 12 auto has pulled tons of shrubs out and hauled tons of rock and dirt, My 416 has pulled my D around, my Jeep around maybe moved about 120 tons of topsoil a little at a time. Ive used my 401 to yank around 50 pulls with my dump cart full of about 500-750 pounds of landscape rocks when I was building my flower and shrub beds. Its all in how you use it or abuse it.
