hckypck7 1 #1 Posted July 24, 2013 Hello I have a 520 h WH . I was mowing this evening when one of the pulleys on the mule drive went out. My question is can I replace just the pulley or do I have to replace the whole mule drive attach -a-matic ?
47JDG 65 #2 Posted July 24, 2013 You can just replace the pulley. I did the same thing when a pulley went out on a 520-H my dad owns. I used a pulley for the mid mount idle setup used for a rear tiller attachment. They were the same pulley...but now I need to find another pulley so I can use the tiller again. groundhog47 347 #3 Posted July 24, 2013 (edited) Taking a stab, looked at a 1988 520H mower deck mule drive in manuals. If it's like one there as listed the 2 pulleys on the mule drive are removable and as reference are parts # 35 and 37 for the 05-42mro4/5. Can no affirm that is one you have, but more than likely is similar. Edited July 24, 2013 by groundhog47
SPINJIM 1,986 #4 Posted July 24, 2013 Yep, just replace the pulley. You might find the part number on this site under the "Manuals" section. I bought one for my C-85 mule drive. I think you can get it from your local Toro dealer, or it might be cheaper on ebay if you have the part number. Jim
Tankman 3,523 #5 Posted July 24, 2013 Pricy, new. Wouldn't expect less from TORO. You can find the entire mule drive on eBay cheaper but, used and doubt you would ever use it. Take a peek-a-boo here; Items 35 & 37. http://www.partstree.com/parts/?lc=toro_consumer&mn=E5-48SC01%2C+48%22+Side+Discharge+Mower%2C+1988&dn=3328-950-_9500022-0008
