Forest Road 594 #1 Posted July 22, 2013 Does anyone know someone? I'd like to have a mild buildup done on a Kohler k-341 16hp. Im not looking for a hot rod. Just a little bit more torque and hp for the snow blower. The way things have been going I doubt I'll have anytime in the coming months. Thanks Kevin

Lagersolut 743 #8 Posted July 27, 2013 I found a guy in the York Pa area , ( recommended from a fellow Wheel Horse nut ) he did my K241 and did an excellent job , parts - labor -machine shop - block cooked etc out the door for $640 - he needs 2-3 months from the time you drop it off - side work -he gets to them as time allows - worth the wait . Lagersolut 743 #10 Posted July 27, 2013 I've ask over the years at different places ( just out of curiosity to see what they'd say ) stopping looking at a tractor or whatnot and I've had quotes in the 1-1500 range, I'm not sure how they're arriving at these numbers . Mine would have been somewhat cheaper than the 640, but when he was getting it back together I got a call , the fuel pump was leaking oil at the cam lever pin on my original pump, had him just put a new one on - going to see if a machine shop can do an oversize pin and rebuild it when I get more time.
