stevebo-(Moderator) 8,534 #5 Posted July 21, 2013 I am always surprised at the insanity of people's prices. We as collectors know it is way too much but then again it only takes one !!
AMC RULES 37,196 #6 Posted July 21, 2013 (edited) I gotta get mine put back together, and listed...I had no idea it was so rare. C'mon, at $4K mine's a bargain. Edited July 21, 2013 by RJ PICKER
rmaynard 16,301 #7 Posted July 21, 2013 Back in 1959, there was a song by Frank Sinatra titled "High Hopes". This guy must have been singing that song when he listed that one.
JimD 3,347 #8 Posted July 21, 2013 Then in 1977, Eric Clapton recorded the song "Cocaine". That could explain the "High Hopes".

Wheel Horse Kid 105 #10 Posted July 21, 2013 My eyes popped out like a stomped on toad frog when I saw that one! Think he might have had a bit too much to drink when he listed that one! The prices some people put on things just amazes me!
953 nut 60,127 #11 Posted July 21, 2013 I have seen the same kind of thing with Street Rods for sale; the husband isn't trying to sell it, they list it for sale to convince the wife they are selling it without going below what has been spent; no fear of anyone buying it, so she is happy and he has his baby. Win / win!
JimD 3,347 #12 Posted July 21, 2013 I have seen the same kind of thing with Street Rods for sale; the husband isn't trying to sell it, they list it for sale to convince the wife they are selling it without going below what has been spent; no fear of anyone buying it, so she is happy and he has his baby. Win / win! Well now, I think you should teach that guy a lesson and hit that old "Buy it Now" button! We'll be standing by...
Jeff-C175 7,206 #13 Posted July 21, 2013 (edited) He based his price on the 520HC with 54 hours on it that just sold for $4500. No links to e-bay ad's unless its your own. One of you guys get that one? Edited July 21, 2013 by Sparky

tunahead72 2,546 #18 Posted July 22, 2013 Back in 1959, there was a song by Frank Sinatra titled "High Hopes". This guy must have been singing that song when he listed that one. Then in 1977, Eric Clapton recorded the song "Cocaine". That could explain the "High Hopes". So could J.J. Cale's original, off the 1976 Troubadour album. Clapton's version is very close to the original and got tons/kilos more airplay than Cale's, Cale's is a little edgier/grittier, love 'em both! jackson brown's cocaine is a cool song too... Agreed! -------- I guess this thread is officially hijacked now, sorry Craig!

tunahead72 2,546 #21 Posted July 22, 2013 How'd you figure I started this Ed? Must be time to change my display name again. Wild-arse guess, had nothing to do with your avatar, or the fact that your name appears in your signature. Between you and Jeffpicks, and wondering what it is that you guys are picking, you'll have to pardon me if I occasionally wander off on tangents, especially musical ones. Go ahead and change your name if you must, we know where to find you!
