Btrooper29 0 #1 Posted July 15, 2013 Can anyone tell me how the vacuum hoses are routed on the air cleaner sensor on a 520H? I bought one with no harness missing gauges, and generally abused. I have most of it wired, and gauges installed but I can't find a diagram for the hoses, I see one goes to the breather but not the other one or where it mounts. Btrooper29 0 #3 Posted July 22, 2013 I know where the sensor is and have it wired, I don't have the vacum hoses hooked up. I know one goes to the air cleaner but I don't know where the other side routes to.
MalMac 1,332 #4 Posted July 22, 2013 If you mean where the hose connects to the air sensor. There is just a small round tab sticking out that it pushes on to. i replaced mine because the tab broke off. It broke flush and was difficult to find where it was even at originally. Btrooper29 0 #5 Posted July 22, 2013 If I understand you MalMac There is no hose from the opposite side of the sensor? One side is marked pressure the other side vacum. Thank you for the reply
Kelly 1,033 #6 Posted July 23, 2013 yes only one hose from the aircleaner to the side of the switch
MalMac 1,332 #8 Posted July 25, 2013 Little late on this, but be careful putting the hose on the sensor. Very easy to break on the round fitting it goes on. Especially if it is the old one which will be brittle.
Btrooper29 0 #9 Posted July 25, 2013 Thanks MelMac, I see where a lot of guys have repaired them. I'll take special care as I have already had too many detours .
Kelly 1,033 #10 Posted July 25, 2013 If you do break it, it's not the end of the world, out of the 5 520's I have only one has a hose hooked to it.
