Presents from Mr. Mailman

Got home this afternoon to find these in boxes on my porch. I think I paid a fair price, considering how much I have seen them go for.  I'm slowly building my second favorite machine a 1973 16 auto or 70's C-160 with a Wheel horse Lawn Sweeper or even better a Lawn Vacuum setup.

Are you leaving them black or painting them a more reddish color??

I'm on the fence about color honestly. Everything I have as far as sales brochures from 73-75 shows them painted Linen Beige, I personally love Wheel Horse Red though. Either way I think I will get them powder coated.....I guess time will tell Van...

:wh: Red, or leave it in the shed...pretty sure that's how it goes.   :handgestures-thumbsup:

Looks nice Jeff.  I like the red color wheel weights that my 1977 WH sales brochure has them.   powder coat be the most durable.  what will that run you?

I'm not sure of the powdercoating cost yet Don. I paid 160 for these so I have a little wiggle room once I find someone that does the coating around me. I could always do them in my oven at home...... :eusa-think:

So what did the shipping run ya? I assume each weight was shipped seperately.

I painted mine black, but they are mounted on a gray GT-1600 so they look correct.

Mike...........

Either way/color Jeff, I think they will look great! I am looking forward to some pics after they are mounted up on your tractor.
