510racer 0 #1 Posted July 1, 2013 My father-in-law gave me a 1988 310-8 garden tractor. However, he can't find the belt for the mower deck. The deck measures 42" (I think) - but I can't find a model number or it's been painted over. Also, the cover for the front idler pulley is missing. If it has 2 blades it is a 37" side discharge 3 blades used on 36" rear and side discharge 3 blades used on 42" rear and side discharge 3 blades used on 48" side discharge Garry Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

bowtieguy 334 #4 Posted July 2, 2013 From the brief info that you provided your 1988 deck "might be" a 05-42SK01...spindle belt would be 106516 & mower drive belt would be 114718. 106516 belt is HA X 83" 114718 belt is HA X 45.13" HA = agricultural belt 1/2" by 5/16" I'm sure you will find this info in the files or Wheel Horse Usage Chart ..Form # 492-0392...a 94 page chart worth its weight in paper!! The belt on the deck is called the spindle belt. Drive belt Toro 102742 nla Use 94-2501 {HA/Ax103"} 6378 Gates 1/2"x103-1/4" 40 degrees 6378 Napa 1/2"x103-1/4" 40 degrees Spindle belt Toro 6738 {HA/4Lx86"} 6886 Gates 1/2"x86" 4L860W Napa 1/2"x86" Best to get an original Toro belt if you can.
