With the angle of the picture, I thought for a minute, what kind of contraption is that on the hood? Looks pretty good. Hmm, interesting that it was license for the road. B)

Neat to see stuff from overseas. I wonder how many differences we would find between "our" stuff and "your" stuff.

I really like the rear exhaust. I am forever complaining about how loud WH mufflers were on those older tractors. Maybe that takes some of the bark out of the exhaust. At the least if would help put you to sleep if you ever equipped the tractor with a cab...

Interesting also to see the newer style PTO clutch and tach-a-matic on your tractor. Those didn't become available in the US until 73 on the "no name" tractors (e.g. 16-auto, 12-8speed, 8-4spd, etc.) and theRaider/Charger/Electros disappeared in 72. I wonder if that was retrofitted to yours or if they carried the named tractors longer in the UK.

Thanks for sharing!

Steve

I know a few of the Belgium-built tractors carried the Raider name well in to the 70's, and I think both Ian and Wes have examples of them. The decals and steering wheels are unique to the non-US built models, and here's an even stranger one I "found" on ebay Germany:

Wide body C-120 auto with rotary broom, etc.

Now if I could just find a model list of the tractors built "over there". B)

Thanks for the replies.I have looked at the model number again its 1-038 but most of the last number has gone only the bottom part of the number is still there .It could be only a 0 6 or 8. serial number is 142535.Then I looked closer and it had AMNOR NV Belgium . So it looks like a C160 with a 14hp Kohler badged as a Raider 14. THe rear rims are 12 inch but It's got different width rims on the front. Will get a better pic thats not so misleading the thing that looks as though its on the bonnet is the water tank of a drain jetter.

:USA: I am near Uckfield East Sussex not very far from you. I will post a pic of my 68 lawn ranger when i take some. I am having trouble with the carb on it Tecumseh H60 .It cuts out when it gets hot and will only tick over ,open the throttle and it cuts out. I'm probobly :banghead: with it as its an H60. Does the engine need some big hammer
