Manual Lift on a 314-8

Recommended Posts

I'm having problems with the manual lift on my 314-8.  I messed with the dial height adjustment, but when I lift the handle I'm not getting any lift when I'm using the rototiller and little lift with the mower deck.

The dial adjustment will only limit the low end on how far you can drop what ever attachment is on the tractor. It will not effect how high the attachment can go. If the attachment is not dropping far enough, you will need to loosen (turn counter clockwise) the dial height knob.

Was it working correctly before you adjusted the dial?

Check for a broken cable, cable attachment clevis on each end of the cable.

Good luck,

There is a chance you have the attachments connected to the wrong arm on the bellcrank to lift them. Go here

https://lookup3.toro.com/partdex/index.cfm?xCaller=Toro

and use model number 21-14K801. Then open the Manual Lift Linkage page where it shows what connects where on the lift.

The Manual Lift Linkage is a link to the page.
