rossr 1 #1 Posted June 30, 2013 Well I have my new to me 417-8 I think 1986(has electirc lift and kohler series 2 and the lights on dash) model, up and going just fine. I was going to fab a mtd 42 inch snow plow onto the wheel horse but I think its too much of a pain. Also I really think a snow blower is the way to go. I have access to a mtd two stage blower but again I think it would be too much headache to fab it to work. So with that in mind I am on the hunt for a snowblower and maybe a plow. daveoman1966 3,841 #2 Posted June 30, 2013 Dump the MTD ideas. You'll be able to find Wheelhorse accessories / attachments in a wide variety to fit the 417-8. The 1984-87 single stage model was 06-42ST04 Replaces 6-6213, 6-6214, 6-6215, 66-42ST01, 76-42ST01, 86-42ST01, 96-42ST01, 06-42ST01, 06-42ST02, 06-42ST03, Replaced by 06-42ST05, 06-42ST06, 06-42ST07, 79360, 79362 Now look these models up to see the differences.
