papaglide 542 #1 Posted June 23, 2013 I want to install one of these on my 416-8. I have both. I also have a slot to sleeve hitch adapter. My question is which one would be a better, all purpose hitch? Also, where in the heck does the tube for the cable go and how is it orientated. (There is a bend in it.) BTW, I am not using the bell crank between the fenders. I am going to install it like the one on my B-80. Anyone see any problem doing it this way? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
312Hydro 474 #2 Posted June 23, 2013 The tube sits on top of the tranny and the flared end faces the back of the tractor. The other end fits into a hole in the frame plate that the tranny mounts to. .I believe it's at the top between the top tranny mounting bolts. The clamp that holds the tube fits under a bolt that you will need to remove on the tranny top to hold the tube. If I could find a picture it would be better than my confusing directions. I'll look.
