Mowett Mustang 5HP

Recommended Posts

Charlie Smith

Hello guys!

It's not a wheel horse, but its still tractor related. I have been lucky enough to get my hands on a mowett mustang 1970's 5HP ride on mower, they are minuiture little things, and look just great, the pictures I have added are not of the one I brought, as I don't pick it up until Wednesday as the owners are away, but this is the same tractor, just restored to a lot better condition, this is the start of a new topic, I hope to add more pictures and information when I get it back into my shed, if anyone out there knows about these? Any information would be brilliant,

And yes I know it looks like it was made from a few scraps of steel and a spare engine but it really is a genuine garden tractor, Mowett Mustang made in the US

Thanks,

No problem

Ian (stigian)s mate Nigel is the man to talk to on Mowett Mustangs, he now has my 8hp one and has rebuilt a few in the past, he'll be at Ardingly next month.

Lol, strangely Nigel was the first person I thought of when I saw the Mustang photo's..

Yep, Nigel will be at Ardingly and I'm sure will be able to answer any questions you have..

Very nice!I had the same tractor when I was a kid but mine had a 7 hp on it. It was in MINT shape. I had to work for a month splitting and stacking wood after school and weekends to pay for it! My back still hurts...
