wheeledhorseman 579 #1 Posted June 21, 2013 Anyone we know buy this? I know nothing about the prices a 512-D fetches but it seemed a lot to me. I could get another D, possibly two for that! Andy
Anglo Traction 761 #2 Posted June 21, 2013 Not me Andy, Seems way OTT. Seen better (visually) condition ones go for less before, so there is no pattern or logic to the price(s) they go for. Unless it's geography, the bidder(s) have actually seen it and they know it's a quality G/Tractor......way better than the flimsy new ones at twice+ the money. Tom. 70 #3 Posted June 21, 2013 Hi, It wasn't me, it does seem overpriced though nevertheless a very nice machine! I wonder if any of you saw the commando 7 in Devon? The buy it now was an absolute steal! Tom

farmer 1,078 #5 Posted June 21, 2013 I would take a guess and say Griff too, he did post about purchasing a 512, l thinks he shows great taste. (my favourite model)
Stigian 1,234 #6 Posted June 22, 2013 Ouch!! That's a lot of money for a 512-D!!
Griff 17 #7 Posted June 23, 2013 Erm, yes. They do say a fool and his money are easily parted. It was a lot of money but includes nearly £200 in vat. I always think what something is worth to me, not in monetary terms, but in saving time, energy or manpower. Then the cost is justified. My thinking also is that i have a complete tractor for spares if anything major goes belly up with the other, I can keep an implement on each tractor without having to keep swapping over and being a (red)diesel over petrol, will actually save me money over the years. I will post some pics in the week before going to be fitted for a nice little jacket with long sleeves that fasten together so you dont hurt yourself.
