Griff 17 #1 Posted June 16, 2013 I read a comment from someone on here who said, it's not a question of "if" you get another Wheel Horse, but "when".How often have you said "I don't think it will happen to me", only to have it happen to you. I will be fetching another 512-D at the week-end from Oxfordshire, it's only a four hour, two hundred mile round trip, nice! This is the last one though,i've booked into re-hab and will soon be well again. Although i would like one with rear linkage. How many models were made with these? I'd like to try making one for the 512, what do you knowledgeable chaps think to this brainstorm? I'm going to take my medication now and have a lie down.
AMC RULES 37,196 #2 Posted June 16, 2013 Before you go...be forewarned... there isn't one documented case of a successful rehabilitation known to exist. Stand up and own your addiction brother.
meadowfield 2,754 #3 Posted June 16, 2013 Hey, 512-D is a fab tractor, tractors with cat 0 three point hitch were the D-series and GT-14 - there was another 15 inch model in the US that I think had 3 point too. Making one can be done - I made one for my GT - though the main lift bits were still there! mark ...re: rehab, theres no hope, give up any chance of feeling better
wheeledhorseman 579 #4 Posted June 16, 2013 Wanting another WH is a perfectly natural thing - don't let outsiders tell you otherwise. You're among friends here who understand. A two hundred mile round trip is pretty average - again don't let others discourage you. Burn more gas I say, and maybe decent summers will return to the UK! Sorry to hear that you've booked into rehab - this is a waste of time and money, money better spent on another WH. You can never have too many and in any case, once the horse has bitten, it's in your blood for all time - learn to live with it and enjoy! Two's enough, three's enough, four's enough - been there said that! Looks like it'll be a GT-14 or a 'D' next! Bravo! Don't forget to post some pics of the 512 - we love tractor porn. SousaKerry 503 #7 Posted June 17, 2013 (edited) I drove 500 miles to get a basket case 54' Pond Walk Behind for free several years back, This was my 3rd tractor, many more came after that.... Hang in there fortunately the symptoms can be subsided with this website or is that made worse. There is one cure, not having any money to spend but them DT's sure do hurt Edited June 17, 2013 by SousaKerry

CasualObserver 3,411 #9 Posted June 18, 2013 I will be fetching another 512-D at the week-end from Oxfordshire, it's only a four hour, two hundred mile round trip, nice! Another? That is one model that many, many U.S. Wheel Horse fans would love to get their hands on! But as we all know, Wheel Horse products already sell for a premium price overseas, now compound it by it being the diesel, and the shipping to get one back over here? I'll never own one in my lifetime. (unless I happen across a winning powerball ticket... then that tractor is on the short list.) Congrats. Looking forward to the pics. JackC 617 #10 Posted June 18, 2013 Rather than wasting time and money on rehab you can use the money to buy more Wheel Horse tractors, parts and accessories. Spending time with your herd is some of the best therapy there is for the many stressful issues of life.
