fisherman 39 #1 Posted June 16, 2013 Any one ever convert a AQS to a wheel horse mount? Just bought one with less then 500hrs and would like to use it!
WH nut 553 #2 Posted June 16, 2013 What is an AQS, a generator motor?
fisherman 39 #3 Posted June 16, 2013 No, it's a quieter version of the 321s more bearings, also air is blown into air filter. Used in Deeres and Cub Cadets and others so I am told. Narrow block different oil pan and a cradle that can be removed or modified. I want to put it on my Jim Dandy, which takes the 321s. so some modification is in order I wonder if Kohler had a mounting plate that was like the bottom of the 321s oil pan, or maybe some one here has made one? WH nut 553 #4 Posted June 17, 2013 It looks like it has a shaker mount on it now. It may bolt up if your Wheelhorse is set up for a shaker. If mot you will have to make the shaker mount or change the pan
MarkPalmer 81 #5 Posted June 17, 2013 The shrouding on those was made for the engine to be under a hood with side covers, just extra cooling air ducting. The block itself is the same as any other K321, you would need to swap the oil pan and dipstick if you need to change the style of mounting. Also check if the PTO shaft diameter is correct for your pulley. -Mark-
