HokieAg07 129 #1 Posted June 11, 2013 Noticed my 416 was not charging the other day. Determined I had no battery voltage at rectifier and that led me to a blown fuse. Stator putting out about 40-43 VAC. I did put a spare 15A fuse in and it charged but blew the fuse pretty quick. Upon looking at my wiring diagrams it shows this fuse to be a 30A, the tractor had a 15A fuse. I assume the 30A would be correct but I do not want to double the fuse only to melt something if there is actually an issue. Any ideas?
WH nut 553 #2 Posted June 11, 2013 Nope, if it calls for a 30 put it in andwatch it to make sure nothing gets hot.
HokieAg07 129 #3 Posted June 12, 2013 All seems well, replaced the fuse with a 30 amp and used an ammeter to check, only drawing 7-8 amps.
