StWeiler 6 #1 Posted June 9, 2013 Going to look at this 520 tomorrow, it's powered by a Kohler. Any estimates on year? Anything in particular I should be looking for that can be problematic on these? Brian K WheelHorse 28 #2 Posted June 9, 2013 If the hours are reasonable I'd buy that in a heartbeat. Is that a 2 cylinder Kohler Command? I don't think most sellers would let you check cylinder compression but that would be nice. Might want to ask if the thing charges ok and if the tires hold air well. Great price though. StWeiler 6 #6 Posted June 9, 2013 Thank you, that helps. I was confused when I was talking with him earlier for sure. I explicitly asked about the Onan and he cut me off and said it has a Kohler. So he clearly doesn't know what he has. He couldn't confirm the hours on it, which makes me a bit nervous, not to mention I am no fan of the Onans. I paid $500 (probably was too much) for a non running 520H with a 60" deck, so $600 for one that is running is definitively a fair price, but be careful with that Onan.
