Not me, Rod.

Glen is a straight-up guy though. B)

I have had several deallings with him in the past and they have all been good.

He will be at the NAMA show like he says, so if you get one you won't have far to travel to fetch it.

The backwards fenders on the 701 look funny. B)

Notice how much better they follow the radius of the tire though.

I'll bet they were flipped around to keep from smacking knees on the sharp corners. B) (yeah -- that hurts A LOT!)

That would be a 1960 550 Suburban.

The only thing I see that is actually "missing" is the heat shield for the exhaust.

There are a few incorrect parts (like the engine and seat) but it looks like it could be saved with some work. B)

I would say the front wheels & tires are the correct pieces. The rear tires & wheels and seat are probably off of a CC, but the rear wheels are the same.

An original engine for this tractor will be like a "needle in a haystack" - or even tougher to find, but the correct seat shouldn't be too hard to locate.

The exhaust shields are being reproduced now, so that will be the easy one. B)

That looks like a nice one to save! I notice it still has the mower belt shield and the engagement pedal for the deck too. The bracket mounted to the front is of course the blade bracket. Where do the blades keep going? This is the second bracket in a couple days with no blade? B)

And I have one of those bladeless brackets too.

Must be a heck of a stockpile of them somewhere! B)

Duff

Yes, we may hire Duff as our official greeter, sort of like the Walmart greeter. Pay is lousy to non-existent (underline non-existent), but the benefits are....well non-existent also. B)

Are the headlights the right ones for that year? also it looks like the back of the hood is cut out if so how hard would it be to find a hood?

Those are not the HL-5 headlights. The HL-5s were not made available until after this model was produced, but are considered "correct" since they were designed for all the round hoods. I have seen lights similar to the ones on this tractor on a lot of these old machines though, so they must have been common when it was fairly new. The hood cut out would be a pretty easy fix, probably easier than finding a hood. It was probably cut out to clear, or give access to, the spark plug and/or wire on this slightly larger engine. The correct engine would be a Lauson H55B, 5.5 hp, pull and electric start.
