Wheel horse c-101 front idler pulley bearing replacement...??

I have a 1979 wheel horse C-101 that has a 42" RD mower deck which is driven by the front pulley box. I noticed yesterday after installing a new belt that the pulley are making alot of bearing noise. I was wondering if the bearings in it are able to be changed or do I need to purchase all new pulleys. Please any help would be greatly appreciated, I am a new wheel horse owner. And also if it is possible to change just the bearings does anyone know what size bearings I would need??

I am unshure if the bearings can be replaced, but if they can, there will be an identification number stamped in the seal  or rim of the bearing. Any bearing shop can supply an identical bearing or crossover bearing if they have the number.

Replacement pullies for these units can be expensive but are still available form Toro dealers.  Unfortunately they have a different bore size so common replacement pullies will not work. 

 

I believe the older units that had cast pullies are replaceable but the newer stamped units are not replaceable.

Did you actually take the pulleys off and spin them on your finger? I thought one of mine was bad, until I realized that I had lost the spacer on the end of the shaft that holds the cover away from the outer bearing... the cover rubbing on the belt was what was causing the noise.

 If you have the stamped pulleys, that bearing is "flanged in" I don't know for sure a good method. MFG http://www.mfgsupply.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=104974 has the pulley 3/4' bore stocked at 21.95 (number 92-7103 new number 104974 old number). This is V idler shown on 79 model 95-42mro2 mule, 104975 is flat idler. Other suppliers may be less costly, but this is only one I found when takin mower from    coma last year.
