522xi / gt550 Power Pulley Box (Mule Drive)

Over the 8 or so years that the 522xi / gt550 series was built, are the front "power pulley boxes" (mule drives) interchangeable? 

 

I have a 522xi with a 48" deck.  I'm buying a 52" mower deck for the machine.  Will MY current power pulley box which drives the 48" mower work with the 52" deck?  Is it just a matter of changing to the correct length belt when switching deck sizes?  Can the original mule drive stay in place?

The pulley boxes are listed with the mower decks. Go to Toro

https://lookup3.toro.com/partdex/index.cfm?xCaller=Toro

and enter 522xi. They will all come up. Each one has a link to the attachment list on the right of the page. Open that and then click on the mower model number and the ipl for that deck will come up. Compare them.

I have two 48" decks and one 60" for the 5xi, I don't see any difference in the 3 mule drives that I have.
