putterman 4 #1 Posted June 1, 2013 Took this as a basket case. It was literally in boxes of various sizes. Traded an old compound bow for it but it had a bad engine. I rebuilt the engine and it runs true now. Just finished assembly. Waiting on decals and drive belt.

putterman 4 #7 Posted June 2, 2013 Thanks to the net and Youtube for pics and diagrams to find where parts go. I had never seen one of these before and they are a bit different than most other garden tractors. The wiring had been modified and it gave me fits but eventually got it to work. csnyd 10 #14 Posted June 2, 2013 Very nice. Its some kind of challenge to take something that is in pieces and turn it into that. A fine job.
putterman 4 #15 Posted June 2, 2013 The picture of the Simplicity is just like the one I have. It still runs great and is unrestored except for fresh paint. Still has original tires but they are being replaced soon.

Fordiesel69 271 #19 Posted June 3, 2013 Definatly easy on gas when I used mine. Had a 36" rear discharge on it, and even with the gov opened up it still sipped fuel.
