chevyaddict83 39 #1 Posted May 30, 2013 I'm losing a charge on my battery, and I think I know the culprit. I think its the safety switch on the brake pedal on my c-120 hydro. How would I bypass it for "testing purposes" ? Sent from my 416-
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,560 #2 Posted May 30, 2013 That circuit should only be alive with the key in the start position. Garry
chevyaddict83 39 #3 Posted May 30, 2013 Hmmmm. Now I'm in trouble. It seems as though every few days the battery is run down. Now my voltmeter in the dash is always in the middle. On Zero. When I crank it over it drops a bit then comes back. I'm assuming I have a bad ground somewhere. Sent from my 416-8 But I do know that the switch is going. How do I "bypass" it to check it Sent from my 416-
Hodge71 690 #4 Posted May 31, 2013 Just had the same issue with my Dads '73 12 auto. Same exact symptoms. It turned out to be the voltage regulator. Caught on fire at some point. Replaced it with a brandy new one and all is well now
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,560 #5 Posted May 31, 2013 But I do know that the switch is going. How do I "bypass" it to check it Sent from my 416-8 The switch should be closed with the ball pushed in so use a temporary jumper between the terminals. You said voltmeter. Is it a 30-0-30 ammeter?
