Dirtguy3t 1 #1 Posted May 27, 2013 Could use some help fellas Im in southeast Iowa and ive recently inherited my grandfathers wheel horse. My uncle had it for years and after much pestering he finally let me hav it and i would like to restore it. The only problem is most the decals are faded and or gone. I need some help figuring out wat it is exactly. I believe it the early 60s model. Its got the round front hood and the serial number is 30303 im guessing on the last digit cuz it was faded but the first 4 im positive on. The serial number is found on the shifting diagram. I asked my uncle and he was almost positve it origianlly had the 8 or 9 horse kohler on it. I was a conductor on the California zephyr from Chicago Union station to Burlington Iowa in the early 80s. we worked 7 days a week so I was in Burlington and Chicago every day for 3 years straight. never missed a day except for vacation.
