leeave96 490 #1 Posted May 24, 2013 I've got a Walboro carb on a Kohler K301 and have a quick question. I'm missing the three screws that fasten the air cleaner face plate to the carb. Anyone know the thread size and length? If I can figure this out, maybe I can find some replacements at the hardware store. I tried screws from a Carter carb, but they are to short and I'm not sure the threads would be the same. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Bill
Fordiesel69 271 #2 Posted May 24, 2013 I **Just** posted this and got the wrong answer. I just did this tonight 30 minutes ago. It takes QTY (3) 10-32 - 3/8" long w/ lock washers.

Sorry I gave you the wrong answer earlier. I knew you longed for a trip to the hardware store today My K301 (1969) has a Carter carb and the screws are the same as on my Carter equipped K181. It does not shock me that the engines equipped with Walbro carbs use different screws. -Mark-
Fordiesel69 271 #4 Posted May 24, 2013 In all seriousness, when screws are missing, I have never been able to get the correct size online. This goes with cars, laptop computers, pinball machines, and small engines. It is just somthing people including myself can;t remeber. Someone told me a few weeks ago what size bolts to get for the flywheel to pull it off, and if my life depended on it, I would not remeber......
