tlcmbc 0 #1 Posted May 20, 2013 When I mowed in the cooler temps I was able to mow the whole yard with no problems. It has gotten warmer and this weekend the problem came back . This happened last year also. What it does is starts and runs great for a while, then acts just like its ran out of gas. If I let it sit it will eventually start but will repeat the same thing. Fordiesel69 271 #2 Posted May 20, 2013 Is it a K181 or M8? If magnum 8 I would suspect a bad magneto. If a k181 the coil could be overheating to due an open condenser or the coil is just going bad. Upon it stalling out, you may considre checking fuel output at the fuel pump. Could be a vent problem with the gas cap. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
skrusins 128 #3 Posted May 20, 2013 I had the same problem for 2 years, check cap, rebuilt fuel pump, reroute fuel line and installed filter. The last thing I did was cleaned and readjusted the points. It has had any problems since. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
