K301 Bad camshaft able to be reground?

I thought I posted this but I guess not.  I have a wiped out K301 cam in which the lobes are bad.  Instead of throwing it out, can it be used for the tractor pull guys being it would need welded up anyways?

Cam grinders usually want to start out with a good cam for a core.

Now that I saw the picture, it would cost more to repair that cam with welding than it would to get a good used one.  I think it's one for the scrapyard.

Wholly moley, that was bad, glad you got a good one to replace and thanks for sharing with all. My 12 hasn't been internally inspected since built in 76, now I know more aresa to check closely. Persistence paid off!
