Justinc 8 #1 Posted May 16, 2013 My 520h idle's a little bit too high, while at operating temp and the throttle all the way down, it still idles up around 2500-2800. If i start the tractor completely cold and let it sit and warm up the idle rises on its own and eventually gets to around 2500, give or take without even touching the throttle. The tractor doesnt miss, hiccup or anything out of the ordinary so i'm assuming it just needs turned down a tad. I tried messing with set screw where the throttle cable meets the carb but it didnt really seem to help. I just hate shutting down the tractor after running it for an hour or so while its idleing close to 3 grand, never liked doing that to anything. If anyone can point me in the right direction as to adjusting it i would greatly apprecaite it. thanks.
Justinc 8 #2 Posted May 20, 2013 Fixed it, adjusted the screw on the back of the carb, which was a pain in the butt to get to, but the stop was turned in too far not letting the tractor idle down like it should. Now when I dethrottle it sits nicely around 1600rpm.
