I have a 1998 314-8 and i want a set of ag tires. My only choices i see are 23x 8.50 and 23x 10.50. Would the bigger ones be ok to use. The tractor calls for 23x 9.50

Use the 23 x 8.50 ags or 23 x 10.5 turf tires.

I believe I've read that somewhere(?). http://www.millertire.com/faqs/

Do you need the ags or just like the appearance?

if the tractor calls for 23 x 9.5-12 then you most likely have 12 x 7 rims, you can get turfs in that size that look ok on that size rim. since you want ag tires i would stay at 23 x 8.5 or 23 x 9.5 if you use carlisle, but if you go for the deestones or duro they run smaller than the others and the 23 x 10.50-12 would work fine. most tires run smaller these days than the older ones, even new carlisles are smaller than they used to be, but you still need to be careful going up bigger than what is recommended.
