As promised.  Michael Martino has setup a store front where you can purchase your copy of the final edition "Straight From the Horse's Mouth - The Wheel Horse Story".  He is allowing on-line sales to begin at 9:00am Eastern on June 21, 2013 which is about the same time you can purchase the book at the Wheel Horse Collector's Club show.  The price of the book does NOT include shipping or CT sales tax, but that will be calculated upon check out.  At this point, the store is available for US residents only.  An e-mail address will be available where non-US residents can write to get a copy of the book.  Click on the advertisement below to be taken to the store.

Hi everyone,

 

I have to take a moment to thank Karl Lyon who designed and helped me develop the book's store web site. His computer expertise has made it possible for everyone to access the site with ease.  Karl did this for you!  As a thank you, I will be sending him the one and only advance copy of my book as a thank you. I have asked him to post a review of the book including the quality and content of both the book and DVD. This way, everyone has a first hand account of what to expect in just a few more weeks. I also want to thank the Wheel Horse Collector's Club for placing the information on their web site. In addition, a special thanks to Lawn and Garden Tractor Collector Magazine for featuring a full page story about the book. Based on the hundreds of emails that I have received, the books will go quickly, so please don't delay in getting yours.

The reason for US only is the store software can't automatically calculate the shipping charges for non-US addresses.  I'll drop him a note to see how he wants to handle the international shipments.  I'll let you know what I find out.

International folks will be able to order the book on-line, but please be aware that the shipping charges will be manually adjusted and you may receive a separate bill for shipping charges.  There will be a flat fee for international shipping (right now set at $20).  Upon actual shipping the charges may be more (especially is buying more than one book) and Michael will bill the additional shipping charges separate.

 

Also, please note that you may only purchase a MAXIMUM of 6 books per order.  This is to insure that the package doesn't get too large to handle, and it allows Michael to "Pre-Package" the books for easier shipping.

odd request... I am going to be out of town next week and wont be back until later that afternoon. Is there any way to order this from a mobile devise? I tried opening the page on my iPhone but it just comes up blank like its not mobile supported.

Just went to the web site to familiarize myself with it before trying to order.  It shows paypal and several different credit cards but when I move the mouse over it, it says pay with paypal.  Is it paypal only or will I be able to use my credit card when the time comes to order?

There are 2 payment methods.  The preferred method is PayPal, and the second method is to pay by check.  PayPal allows you to use a credit card to check out, but not sure if you're required to have an account or not.  So in short, the credit card options are processed through PayPal, or you have the option of paying by check which will delay shipping of your book until payment clears.

A very special thank you to Karl Lyon.  He created the book's online store and worked out all the bugs ahead of time.  He did this strictly as a favor to both myself and all Red Square members, as I have never created a web store.  He is a very good man.

 

I will be leaving for the show tomorrow and will return home on late Sunday.  I will be monitoring the online orders while at the show, but please keep in mind that I will not be shipping until Monday-Wednesday of next week.

 

Don't worry about getting your book autographed as I have signed each and every book.  Of course if you want a special inscription, you will have to be at the show.  Please note that I will not be writing personal message inscriptions for online orders.

 

Once again, orders begin on Friday.  I know that you will be very impressed with this book and DVD. I look forward to seeing everyone's face when they look at it at the show!

Just a final reminder.  The store opens tomorrow at 9:00 Eastern.  While Michael is at the 2013 WHCC show, I will be opening the store on his behalf.  Also as a reminder, I can and will answer any TECHNICAL question / problem with the store, but can not cancel orders, change your order, discuss price, discounts, ship dates etc.... those questions must be fielded by Michael.  I can answer any issue you have with the store, but please remember I have a full time job and can not provide immediate assistance.  I'm not available on Saturday but if you have issues with the store, post it here still and others can likely help too, or it will have to wait until Sunday.

I hope that everyone has been able to order the books that you want.  I was fortunate to see Michael at work at the show, and he's a fantastic man.  I think that he was a little surprised when I told him that "someone had sent me a book, but I wanted it signed" and I will cherish his reaction for a lifetime.  Michael, it was a privilege and honor to finally meet you!

 

For those who were at the show, you who also had the privilege of meeting Michael and his beautiful wife you know what I am saying.  I enjoyed speaking with both of them, and I can certainly see why Cecil loved him so much.  Michael is proud of all of his books, all 3 editions, and I think this one is special to him and it should be to you too.  The book is on-sale now.  I have seen over the years, people kicking themselves for not getting the book while they can.  Well gang, this is your chance.  Don't wait for another edition, because it isn't happening.  This is the Final Edition of this story. 

 

While the story of Cecil Pond is completed, the legacy lives on and hopefully will for a long time.  We are fortunate to have this story, and thankful that Michael put his friendship with Cecil on paper and shared it with the rest of us.  You MUST have this book, it is an important part of Wheel Horse legacy because after all it is "Straight From the Horse's Mouth".  Order today!
