Tom. 70 #1 Posted May 3, 2013 Hi, I've just been scrolling through a well-known auction site and have seen some wheel horse red spray paint made by farm line. Has anyone tried this? If so what were the results like? Tom

Stigian 1,234 #4 Posted May 4, 2013 Thanks Tom!!! I've just ended up trawling through Fleabay looking at Wheel Horse paints :D I'm with Tom, has anyone tried this paint? Shame about the price of it though, it does seem a bit on the expensive side!
Tom. 70 #5 Posted May 4, 2013 Hi, Yes I agree it does seem to be on the expensive side, I wonder how far one can would go? I've actually just been in the garage and found some westwood orange farm line paint an farm line thinners I bought ages ago. From what I remember it sprayed quite well. It would be interesting to see how the spray can performs. I may buy a can to try it(has anyone got a wheel horse I can buy to try it on?!?!) but yes I may try a can if noone else has as of yet. wheeledhorseman 579 #6 Posted May 4, 2013 Tom Using spray cans will inevitably always cost way more because the paint has already been thinned down to make it sprayable. I use an agricultural enamel but from 1 litre tins and thin it using universal thinners whether I'm applying by brush or spraying it. A 1 litre tin was enough to do all parts of a D-200 which was brush painted and cost me £15 inc postage. I actually use International Harvester Red which brings me to something I noticed re the Farmline paint you linked to. It's mentioned on the 500ml and 1 litre tin pages that it's the 'Post 1990' colour which I would therefore take to be Toro Red rather than traditional WH red, the Toro red is a darker more cherry like red. There's no mention on the spray can description but I'd assume its the same. I suggest you check this out with the supplier. Andy

Your D's brush painted Andy!! Wow mate, that's a fantastic job You don't fancy having a bash at painting painting my 6X6 do you?
WH Raider10 17 #8 Posted May 6, 2013 I've used that farmline paint. I only tried brush painting and looks ok for what it is. I buy the paint for 16 EUR/litre. P-J
